# 21741: Brand Registration Failure: 2FA Code Expired

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

This error occurs when the Authentication+ PIN sent to the brand contact expires before the contact completes verification. Complete 2FA within the time window provided in the verification email.

### Possible causes

* The brand contact did not enter the verification code before it expired.
* The verification attempt happened after the deadline in the 2FA email.
* The verification email was missed or not acted on before the code expired.

### Possible solutions

* Re-initiate the 2FA process and ask the brand contact to complete verification before the code expires.
* If the brand contact did not receive the verification email, resend the Authentication+ email from the Twilio Console.
* If the contact email is incorrect or needs to be updated, update `brand_contact_email` in the `us_a2p_messaging_profile_information` bundle and trigger verification again.
* If you are using the API for a failed new Brand registration, create a new 2FA verification request with the Brand 2FA Verification endpoint after you update the brand contact details.
