# 30022: US A2P 10DLC - Rate Limits Exceeded

Log Type: CARRIER

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

This error occurs when a downstream carrier rejects your US A2P 10DLC message because your traffic exceeded the rate allowed for your registered campaign. In rare cases, you can also receive this error when you send too many messages to the same destination number in a short period.

### Possible causes

* Your application is sending messages faster than the carrier allows for your campaign type.
* Combined traffic across the phone numbers assigned to the same campaign exceeded the campaign's allowed throughput.
* You sent too many messages to the same phone number in a short timeframe.

### Possible solutions

* Reduce your sending rate so it stays within the throughput assigned to your campaign.
* Queue or spread message bursts over time instead of sending them all at once.
* Reduce rapid repeat sends to the same recipient.
* Review your approved campaign type and throughput if your use case needs more MPS than your current campaign allows.
