# 30478: Toll Free verification rejection - single phone number used for multiple businesses

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

Your Toll-Free verification request was rejected because the submitted number is associated with more than one business. A Toll-Free number used for messaging must map 1:1 to a single business. As of January 31, 2024, messaging traffic on this Toll-Free number is blocked until it is verified. During review, Twilio evaluates the business sending the messages, the use case, sample content, web presence, opt-in or consent flow, and related website terms and privacy policy.

### Possible causes

* The Toll-Free number in your verification request is assigned to more than one business.
* The same Toll-Free number is being shared across multiple businesses instead of being dedicated to one business.
* The business listed in the verification request is not the only business using the number for messaging.

### Possible solutions

* Use the Toll-Free number for only one business.
* If more than one business needs Toll-Free messaging, use a separate Toll-Free number for each business and submit verification for the business that will send the messages.
* Resubmit the verification and explain in Additional Information how you corrected the issue.
* Before you resubmit, review the business details, website, use case, sample messages, and opt-in information so the submission clearly matches a single business.
