# 30487: Toll Free rejection: Charity must provide 501(c)(3) verification

## Description

This error indicates that your Toll-Free verification submission was rejected because the business was identified as a charitable organization soliciting donations, but the submission did not provide enough proof of 501(c)(3) status. Messaging traffic on the Toll-Free number is blocked until the number is verified.

### Possible causes

* The submission identifies the business as a charity or nonprofit, but no 501(c)(3) tax-exempt verification was provided.
* The accreditation URL is missing or invalid.
* The submitted business details do not confirm nonprofit status.

### Possible solutions

* Confirm that your organization is registered as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity.
* Provide a valid accreditation URL from a recognized nonprofit source such as BBB Wise Giving Alliance, Charity Navigator, or GuideStar.
* Make sure the organization name and other submitted details match your official nonprofit records.
* Update the rejected verification request with the correct nonprofit verification details and resubmit it.
