## Description

This error occurs when you register an A2P 10DLC Brand as a nonprofit and The Campaign Registry cannot confirm IRS 501(c) tax-exempt status for the entity in your registration. You cannot use the Brand to create campaigns until you correct the nonprofit registration details and resubmit.

### Possible causes

* The organization is not a US entity, and only US entities qualify for the nonprofit Brand type.
* The organization is not verified as a US IRS-recognized nonprofit.
* The nonprofit registration details are incomplete, including the charitable subsection code needed for validation.
* The Trust Hub customer profile or Brand registration uses values that do not match nonprofit registration requirements, including Business Type, Business Industry, or Company Type.

### Possible solutions

* If the organization is not a qualifying US nonprofit, change the Brand company type to the correct value instead of `non_profit` or `US Non Profit`, then resubmit the Brand.
* If the organization is a nonprofit, update the Trust Hub customer profile so Business Type is `Non-profit Corporation`, Business Industry is `NOT_FOR_PROFIT`, and the Brand Company Type is `non_profit` or `US Non Profit`, then resubmit the Brand.
* Verify that the legal business name and EIN in the customer profile exactly match the federal tax records. If you are registering a US entity, use the exact legal business name from the CP 575 notice or 147C letter.
* If the nonprofit registration or EIN is new, wait for the tax records to propagate before resubmitting. If you need faster review, contact Twilio Support with federal documentation to request manual verification.
