# 31953: Stream - Media - RTP timeout

Log Type: CARRIER

Log Level: WARNING

## Description

This warning occurs when Twilio detects an RTP timeout on a Media Stream. This means the inbound stream stopped flowing to Twilio.

### Possible causes

* The call finished and the inbound media stream stopped.
* The carrier stopped sending audio to Twilio.

### Possible solutions

* Confirm whether the call had already ended when the warning was logged.
* Review your Media Streams events and call logs to verify when the Stream stopped.
* If the call should still have been active, work with your carrier to confirm it continued sending RTP audio to Twilio.
* If the timeout is unexpected and continues to occur, contact Twilio Support.
